Using LoudGears
Everything you need to go from installing ForgeNode to reading an FEA result and exporting a report. New here? Start with the Quick start.
Getting started
What is LoudGearsLoudGears is a structural analysis service for custom forged wheels. You load a wheel CAD file, choose the target vehicle, and get a finite-element (FEA) result for stress, displacement, and safety factor, with a clear pass or fail verdict and a PDF report.Quick startThis walkthrough takes you from a new account to your first PDF report. Allow about 30 minutes, most of it for the first ForgeNode setup.Explore the demoThe demo lets you work with a real LoudGears result before you sign up or install anything. It creates no project, starts no analysis, and uses no credits.
ForgeNode
Install ForgeNodeForgeNode is the Windows app that prepares your wheel geometry and runs the FEA solver on your own workstation. Install it on every workstation that will run analyses.Activate and connectAfter installing ForgeNode, you link the workstation to your LoudGears workspace once. After that, the Web app finds ForgeNode automatically whenever both are open. The ForgeNode dashboardThe ForgeNode dashboard is the window you see when you open LoudGears ForgeNode. It shows whether the workstation is ready to run analyses and what to do if it is not. The dashboard is in English.
Projects and analysis
Projects and revisionsA project holds one wheel design and its history: every geometry revision, every analysis run, and every result and report. Create one project per wheel design, or per customer order.Vehicle loadsEvery analysis applies a load case to the wheel: a radial (vertical) load and an angular torque. You choose the target vehicle and LoudGears supplies the load case, so you do not have to work out boundary conditions yourself.Run an analysisThis page covers starting an analysis from a project: choosing the route, attaching the geometry, and adding the run to the queue.Solve queue and monitoringThe Solve Queue view lists every run in your workspace: what is waiting and running, and every finished run. Compute Analytics shows how the workstation is performing.
Results and reports
Read a resultWhen a run is verified, its result page shows the verdict, the three result fields in an interactive 3D view, the load case that was applied, and the numerical evidence behind it.ReportsLoudGears turns a verified result into a PDF report you can share with customers, suppliers, or reviewers. Reports can only be generated from a verified result.
Account
Plans and creditsYour plan sets what your workspace can do: how many analyses it can run, how many at once, how many team members and workstations it can have. Analyses are paid for with credits included in the plan.Account, devices, and teamEverything about your account is in the account menu at the top right of the workspace.
